Lancashire based digital outdoor advertising specialists, Clearglow Media, is transforming the way local businesses in Stockport can use powerful digital billboard technology to reach huge audiences in the region.
Clearglow Media will launch a new digital billboard in July, on Stockport’s busy A6, London Road, aimed exclusively at making it affordable for small and medium sized businesses in the area.
Digital Out of Home (DOoH) advertising expenditure is valued at over £1billion in the UK. That’s because it is a hugely effective way of delivering a message to large audiences and big brands spend big money to do so.
Until now, there have been few opportunities for local Manchester and Cheshire businesses to compete with large organisations, who typically spend upwards of £2,000 for a two-week campaign to advertise on other digital billboards in Stockport.
Determined to make digital billboard advertising affordable and accessible to local SMEs, Clearglow Media, will make advertising slots available for just a few hundred pounds per month.
Clearglow Media’s, Kristian Ball explains
“For too long digital billboards have been dominated by big brands with multi-million pound budgets. Local businesses simply don’t stand a chance of competing with that, which is why we’re launching a platform solely for SME’s, for just a tiny fraction of what it costs to advertise on other digital billboards in Stockport and Manchester.”
The location of the new digital billboard is on one of the town’s busiest routes into Stockport and Manchester, with over 26,000 vehicles passing it every day. With a potential audience of over 1.5million people every month, businesses joining the scheme will have a highly visible platform through which to reach their audience.
Kristian continued, “SME’s are the bedrock of our business communities. Without them, our economy would collapse, which is why it’s so important to offer platforms for local businesses to achieve growth. By making such a prominent digital billboard site available solely for local businesses, we’re really tearing up the rule book. The opportunity for local businesses to advertise to 18 million people a year for less than £15 per day is unheard of in the digital outdoor advertising industry.”
Opportunities are limited, however, with just 12 advertising slots available for the entire year.
The model has seen success in other cities, with Clearglow Media having recently launched a digital billboard for businesses in Preston and more sites in the pipeline for 2022 and 2023.
The digital advertising specialists understand the need to support small businesses, providing a complete consultation, design and account management solution for advertisers. Businesses who manage to grab a slot on the big screen will have the option to provide their own creative artwork or use Clearglow Media’s experienced design team to create their advert.
Kristian concluded, “We’re really excited to launch our local digital outdoor advertising solution for businesses in Stockport. The area is full of industry and we’re keen to support that by providing a really engaging way for local businesses to reach out to their audiences.
